SAP SE has released for general availability the 2.0 version of SAP Predictive Analytics software, which provides an integrated approach to analytics that helps organisations to see trends and patterns in data from a variety of SAP and third-data sources.
This new version of the software also leverages the SAP InfiniteInsight solution to help users analyse and act on data in real time instead of waiting for batch processes, making it useful for applications such as fraud detection, risk mitigation, revenue optimisation and customer retention.
Among the features of the 2.0 version of SAP Predictive Analytics are automate data preparation, advanced visualisation, a data modelling environment using the R programming language as well as algorithms from the HANA platform and third party environment, predictive model management solutions, network and link analysis for understanding the connections between customers and social influencers, and Scorer, which helps to select the most important variables for explaining a given business question.
“The growth of data sources and sensors and the increased demand for actionable insights mandate broader access to predictive analytics,” said Clemens Praendl, senior vice president and general manager, Analytics, SAP. “SAP Predictive Analytics is designed to help bridge the skills gap by placing complex predictive capabilities in the hands of many more users. By incorporating predictive results into more applications and business processes, users will be able to identify hidden patterns like never before, revealing new or expanded business opportunities.”
SAP has also made the SAP Lumira solution, Edge edition (pictured), generally available. This solution is designed specifically to give small and midsize businesses access to cost-effective data visualisation.
SAP Lumira enables business users to create, modify and shares visualisations and infographics, and according to SAP, the Edge edition can be up and running in just 15 minutes.
“With over 650,000 downloads, we continue to see rapid adoption of SAP Lumira by organisations of all sizes,” said Clemens Praendl, senior vice president and general manager, analytics, SAP. “SAP Lumira, Edge edition, is helping our customers extend the power of data-driven insights to all users throughout an organisation.”
