Salesforce is seeking to create a consumer-like app experience, translating data into action for business users, with its suite of Wave Analytics Apps.
The role-specific apps will connect with Salesforce Analytics Cloud, powered by the Wave platform, to deliver intelligence, provide business context and allow the user to act.
The apps will include accelerator templates, instantly populated with CRM data, to track KPIs and metrics; historical analysis of trends, behavioural patterns and cyclical issues; and allow users to create tasks, start conversation or change a performance measure. As the Wave Analytics Apps are natively integrated with the Salesforce1, changes in the app will be reflected within Salesforce, and all corresponding metrics updated.
The first app released is Sales Wave Analytics, which provides sales people with personalised sales accelerator templates covering everything from pipeline management to quarterly business reviews, historical analysis for a whole sales team or individual representative, and take actions such as managing team performance and coaching.
“Until today, analytics were not built for everyone,” said Alex Dayon, president of products, Salesforce. “We are changing the game by combining intuitive analytics with business processes in Wave Analytics Apps, so every business user can not only see performance in real-time, but also take actions directly within the apps.”
Sales Wave Analytics will be generally available in English later this year (with additional language support forthcoming), and will be available via a per user, per month subscription model.
