MicroStrategy has now made all of the enterprise analytics, mobile and security features of its MicroStrategy 10 Secure Enterprise solution available in the cloud.
MicroStrategy Secure Cloud is offered via Amazon Web Services, providing scalable data integration, validation and warehousing services on an on-demand basis, keeping costs under control.
The Secure Cloud offering is configured to be elastic, so it can grow with an enterprise’s changing usage demands. The global reach of AWS means organisations will be able to utilise a data centre in their preferred location, with security certifications that will satisfy major compliance regimes.
Paul Zolfaghari, president, MicroStrategy, said, “This is not simply a hosted version of MicroStrategy 10, but instead is a personal production instance that is fully configured, multi-tier and multi-node – in essence, a world-class enterprise production analytics environment.”
MicroStrategy decided in April 2015 to go with AWS as the core infrastructure platform for its analytics in the cloud.
“MicroStrategy Secure Cloud eliminates months of procurement, installation, configuration and tuning, and delivers a secure cloud environment to start building transformational analytics applications almost immediately,” said Zolfaghari. “Hosted in whichever geography a customer chooses, MicroStrategy Secure Cloud is highly flexible and reliable.”
Amazon Redshift, Amazon Elastic MapReduce (Amazon EMR), and Amazon Relational Database Services (Amazon RDS) are core elements of MicroStrategy 10 Secure Enterprise on AWS, and complete the end-to-end solution, allowing MicroStrategy users to connect to and analyze data from any data source.
