Yellowfin makes key appointments to support growth

Business intelligence and analytics software vendor Yellowfin has appointed Martyn Reeves as managing director overseeing business operations across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Reeves will be responsible for managing Yellowfin’s sales team, client engagements, as well as the vendor’s reseller, ISV and strategic alliance partner networks throughout the region.

On the appointment, Yellowfin CEO Glen Rabie said, “Martyn has extensive skills and experience managing business operations and partner relationships within the enterprise IT industry. I am confident that Martyn is the right person to further accelerate Yellowfin’s excellent client and partner growth in APAC.”

Reeves said he was looking forward to the challenge of quickly growing Yellowfin’s presence across APAC, and capitalising on its rising reputation for innovation in the global BI and analytics marketplace.

“Yellowfin has quickly become a vendor of choice in the BI marketplace with its fresh, collaborative and unique approach to enterprise reporting and analytics,” he said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to continue exceeding the expectations of Yellowfin’s clients and, working with our strong partner network, expand Yellowfin’s reach throughout the region.”

This appointment follows the recent announcement of Peter Baxter as the new managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Baxter was appointed in tandem with the launch of a new Yellowfin office in the UK, located in Milton Keynes. The company plans to increase its UK team with 10 new hires in the coming months to support its rapid growth across EMEA, and to work with UK-based Value Added Resellers (VARs) as part of its expanded UK channel program.

Daniel Shaw-Dennis, who was previously Yellowfin’s MD for EMEA, has taken on a newly created role of director of global channel.

Shaw-Dennis said the new position was created in recognition of “Yellowfin’s determination to deliver an even better experience for our partners in 2015”, and to “further develop Yellowfin’s channel strategy and existing partner support programs worldwide”.

Headquartered in Melbourne, Yellowfin specialises in mobile, collaborative and embeddable BI, as well as location intelligence and data visualisation.
