The agreement will make Yellowfin’s BI solution, and associated training and implementation services, available to DIKW’s clients and businesses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
DIKW was searching for a highly intuitive, functionally rich, 100 percent Web-based reporting solution, says the company’s managing director, Wim Lubbers, and Yellowfin came out as the obvious choice.
“The Total Cost of Ownership of traditional BI systems tends to be very high,” said Lubbers. “We noticed a strong need for a more flexible, easy-to-use and cost efficient solution amongst our customers.”
In the tool selection process DIKW also tested several BI reporting tools like Tableau, Spotfire, QlickView, Oracle OBIEE, SAP Business Objects, Microstrategy, Pentaho, Cognos, Strategy Companion and Microsoft SSRS, according to Lubbers.
“The only tool DIKW found that met all these requirements to a satisfactory standard was Yellowfin. Yellowfin offers a highly innovative BI platform that fully meets the needs and requirements of our customers.”
Yellowfin’s strategic alliances manager for EMEA, Daniel Shaw-Dennis, said the new alliance would help to achieve Yellowfin’s 2013 core strategic goal of expanding its European market presence.
“With DIKW’s reputation for BI excellence, we’re confident that the DIKW – Yellowfin partnership will be able to effectively meet marketplace demand for consumer-oriented and easy-to-implement BI technologies throughout the Benelux region,” Shaw-Dennis said.
