Indian technology giant Wipro has created a new business division, focusing on analytics.
Jeffrey Heenan-Jalil, the company’s current head of advanced technologies, will oversee the new division.
The analytics division, which began operations 1 April, will replace its existing Advanced Technologies and Solutions service line.
“This new business will address all aspects of AI, machine learning advanced analytics, data and information management and big data platforms. The focus will be to provide solutions and services across these themes, enabling clients to take informed business solutions,” said Heenan-Jalil.
“This is in line with our company’s vision to automate, simplify and scale. Plans are underway to train ~15,000 people in technologies supporting analytics.”
