Telstra acquires Readify to extend big data, cloud and IoT capabilities

Telstra has acquired Readify, a leading Melbourne-based application developer focused on enterprise cloud application solutions, big data and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, consulting and managed services, as part of its network applications and services expansion.

The acquisition is the latest in a series undertaken to increase Telstra’s technology capabilities as part of its efforts to drive digital transformation for its enterprise customers in both domestic and global markets. Recent acquisitions include cloud migration service provider, Kloud, as well as O2 Networks, Bridge Point Communications and NSC.

“Readify is recognised globally for its innovative software solutions and will further help us create software-led digital transformations with our customers,” said Michelle Bendschneider, executive director, global enterprise and services,Telstra.

“Readify will provide application development and data analytics services, nicely complementing Kloud’s existing services. It will enable Telstra to add incremental value to customers in enterprise cloud applications, API-based customisation and extensions as well as business technology advisory services,” she said.

Microsoft has recognised Readify globally with numerous awards for software development. The company employs about 200 staff, including 160 software developers, across major Australian cities.
