Tableau ramps up ANZ presence

Business analytics software provider Tableau has appointed its first country manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Nigel Mendonca, who has previously held roles at Salmat, Symantec and Xpedite Systems/PGi, has been appointed to drive Tableau’s growth in ANZ.

Tableau’s Australian team has nearly doubled in the past year, including the creation of a multi-lingual Asia-Pacific technical support team based in Sydney.

Tableau’s existing customers in the ANZ region include Mater Health Services, Ray White, University of Western Sydney, Silver Fern Farms, Sportsbet, Anomaly, Inivio, as well as many of Australia and New Zealand’s largest enterprise and government organisations.

“Australia and New Zealand’s organizations are pursuing analytics initiatives to leverage data driven decisions in a fast and easy way. We are excited to expand the power of data analytics and Tableau to this region.” said JY Pook, vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, Tableau Software. “Nigel Mendonca will lead our efforts to grow the Tableau footprint in this important market with focus on customer success.”
